Pantai Cenang
Pantai Cenang is one of the most popular tourist areas in Langkawi. It features local and international eateries, duty-free shopping complexes, luxury resorts and a gorgeous beach
The Pantai Cenang Beach is located on the Western side it offers two kilometres of white sand. Here you can take a dip in the Adaman Sea. If, however, you want some water sports fun check out Mega Water Sports who rent jet skis, parasailing and wakeboards and banana boats which looks like a long inflatable double banana that holds six people.
Duty-free shopping is in the Zon Duty Free Zone which opens 10am to 9pm daily. This is great if you are after a bargain in souvenirs, sweets, and goods to take back home. If you just want a bite of fast food, you will find McDonalds, Starbucks and more.
The Cenang Mall is a two-storey, air-conditioned mall opens daily from 11am to 11pm. You can relax and eat sushi, KFC and pick up swimwear and gear to go to the beach.
The Temoyong Night Market opens on Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm. It has everything you can think of including sumptuous authentic local delicacies.
The Underwater World Langkawi (UWL) is in Pantai Cenang. It is one of the largest aquaria in Southeast Asia. Tickets are reasonable. Check their online feeding schedule to attend when the animals are being fed. Be sure to walk through the 8-meter Tunnel where African Penguins dart around. There is also a walk-through aviary which sets visitors in a jungle-like setting and don’t miss the Arapaima, an 8-foot freshwater fish!
Morac International Karting in Pantai Cenang opens 10am-7pm and offers various ticket prices according to how many laps you want to drive. The karts are professional standard and when you get hungry have a bite to eat at the Hot Laps Restaurant.

Langkawi Sky Cab hop on board this sky cab and take the 15-minute ride to the top of mount Mat Cincang. Hold on because this is known as the steepest ride in the world. Located near Telaga Harbour, Pantai Kok, it is at the foot of the Oriental Village. Once at the top you can see over the forest and out to the smaller islands dotted in the sea. You can now choose if you want to access the Sky Dome, Sky Walk, Sky Rex, and the 3D Art Museum.
The Sky Walk takes you through a 10-min walk through a concrete trail through the forest to the Sky Bridge. At 125 meters long it is said to be the longest curved pedestrian bridges in the world.
The 3D Art Museum offers 3D views of places. Walk into the Kuala Lumpur city skyline, looking up at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Continue to the mystic world of Egypt and gaze at the Sphinx.
Gunung Raya is the highest mountain peak in Langkawi. Located in Central Langkawi at the base of the golf course. Hikers can take to the 4200 steps. You can trek through the flora and fauna or hire a taxi, drive, or even take a scooter for 30-minutes. Either way you will see macaque monkeys, squirrels, and eagles.
Wonders
Dataran Lang, is known as Eagle Square located in Kuah town. Here you cannot miss the giant 12-metre-tall statue of an eagle. It represents the island of Langkawi which refers to the island of the reddish-brown eagle with wings spread ready to take off.
Lagenda Langkawi Dalam Taman is a huge 50-acre park dedicated to the folklore legends of Langkawi. Located in the same area of Kuah, come face-to-face with 17-sculptures, featuring mermaids, magical rings to the fighting hands of giants raising up out of the ground!
Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls (The Seven Wells Waterfall) really does have seven waterfalls connected by several pools. Said to be a waterfall of fairies with healing powers it is popular with tourists. The lower pool is easily accessible and for those who are up for a challenge can take the scenic 45-minute walk up 600-steps leading to the top pool.
